Jesus. I just finished the book (yep, I’m a fast reader), and I’m crying–in a beaming way. Remember when we were told over two cokes at a farewell lunch in Belize that truth is always revealed by the body–either in chills or in tears? Yep, I’m feeling it. Truth. It feels good. Your book reminds me to never forget that the relationship we have with ourselves is one that deserves daily attention. Sometimes we, the sweet empathic-prone-to-codependency-types, get too bogged down in “the grind” and forget to come back to the all important practice of daily self-kindness. Those old habits sneak in and we may not even notice till we’re reading a beautiful piece of someone’s soul that sings a song in perfect harmony with our own. In this moment, I am remembering my true intentions of self-love and feeling inspired to get back into my daily practices that bring me peace/fulfillment.
